Children’s Square, a 141-year-old organization that serves children with mental and behavioral health needs, will host its annual Chipping in for Children golf event on Thursday, May 9, from 4:30pm to 8:00pm at TopGolf at 908 North 102nd Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
The Children’s Square fundraiser will begin with registration at 4:30pm and golf play will begin at 5:00pm. The evening will include a buffet dinner and beverages, raffles, and fun activities. Dr. Viv Ewing, President & CEO of Children’s Square, said the event is intended for everyone, not just avid golfers. “TopGolf is a terrific venue for everyone from the experienced golf to those who have never golfed. We will have a great evening of fellowship and fun. Even if you’re not a golfer, please come and join us!”

This year’s honorary Co-chairs for Chipping in for Children are Dr. Carl Heinrich and Margarite Goodenow of Council Bluffs and Todd and Stephanie Murphy of Omaha. “We are excited that these four outstanding community leaders are helping us with Chipping in for Children,” said Phil Taylor, Chief Administrative Officer at Children’s Square. “Carl and Margarite and Todd and Stephanie are great advocates for the work that Children’s Square does every day to help vulnerable children,” said Taylor.
“We are so grateful for the community support that allows us to provide programs including residential treatment for children with mental and behavioral health needs, emergency shelter for children, and early childhood care,” said Dr. Ewing. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the children and families who are helped by Children’s Square, many of whom are located in Pottawattamie County.
TopGolf has an indoor-outdoor driving range, climate-controlled hitting bays, and a lively atmosphere. Omaha TopGolf is the only facility of its kind within the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
